On September 25th, 2009 our "newly formed" Thailand Southern Council, Navy League of the United States, hosted our first "Ships Welcome" party at the Patong Resort Hotel. Our VIPs included Officers and Command Staff of Carrier Strike Group 7, U.S. Embassy Bangkok Defense Attaché, the Royal Thai Navy, Force Protection Detachment staff, and the Royal Thai Police.
